I am grateful for this opportunity to sing the praises of Corporate Pharmacy Services (CPS). We needed to partner with a firm who could be our expert on pharmaceutical treatments, while at the same time, helping us control the ever-growing prescription costs. We noticed the savings immediately upon switching to CPS. We also, however, saw continued savings year after year. This was due to several factors including: 1) CPS’ promotion of mail order over local pharmacy delivery, 2) CPS’ promotion of generics when appropriate, 3) CPS working with claimants’ physicians advising of potential unintended interactions or overprescribing and providing alternative solutions.
Further, CPS’ online portal provides an easy interface for our adjusters to approve or reject changes to a claimant’s formulary. Periodic program reviews also help us understand which claimants, doctors, or drugs we should focus on to improve claimant care and/or reduce prescription costs.
